A story, a vision, a governance in the service of women
Our statutory purpose
AESEF's purpose is to promote social equity and the economic empowerment of women and girls through the development of women-led social entrepreneurship, within the framework of a social and solidarity economy.
It champions cultural heritage, local know-how and craftsmanship as vectors of creativity, social innovation and lasting income generation — and promotes the place of women in the cultural and creative industries.

Born for equity, rooted in Douala
The association was founded by individuals and legal entities adhering to its statutes, under the name "Association for Social Equity and Female Social Entrepreneurship" (AESEF), governed by law n°90/053 of December 19, 1990 on freedom of association.
A non-profit association based in Douala, it now brings together active members, benefactor members, founding members and honorary members around a shared cause.
